Our Team

Meet the experienced and friendly team who makes Pacific Eyecare & Optical a proud provider of vision care products and services in Inland Empire.

Dr. Nicholas Gubler
O.D.

A lifelong Washingtonian, Dr. Nicholas Gubler brings both advanced clinical training and a deep sense of community to his work in eye care. After earning his doctorate from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University, he completed specialized training at the Reina Laser Eye Center in Kennewick, gaining hands‑on experience with complex ocular conditions and laser‑based treatments.

Dr. Gubler owns and practices at his clinic in Pasco, WA, and is also a familiar face at the Indian Trail clinic, where he frequently steps in to support patients while Dr. Criswell is away. He is especially passionate about understanding how systemic health impacts the eyes and helping patients protect their long‑term vision.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Gubler is usually outdoors with his wife and their three daughters-exploring trails, camping under the stars, and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Thomas Myers
O.D.

Dr. Thomas Myers graduated from Pacific University’s College of Optometry and returned to Spokane, where he grew up in a large family and attended Mead High School. He founded Pacific Eyecare & Optical in 2010, later selling it to Dr. Nicholas Gubler in 2020.

Dr. Myers retired in 2025 when Dr. Kyle Criswell joined the practice, though he still fills in occasionally. Loved by his patients and known as everyone’s best friend, he fully endorses Dr. Criswell to care for all their needs.

He and his family enjoy boating throughout the Inland Northwest, and he will be deeply missed as he begins this next chapter of life.

Dr. Kyle Criswell
O.D.

Dr. Kyle Criswell grew up under the sunny skies of California where he attended Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. To further sharpen his clinical knowledge, he completed a residency at the Spokane VA Medical Center, where he developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and managing medical conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy. He is also skilled in fitting soft contact lenses and specialized scleral contacts.

Now happily rooted in Spokane, Dr. Criswell enjoys connecting with patients of all ages and helping them protect and understand their vision. When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find him hiking, playing pickleball, or soaking up everything the Inland Northwest has to offer.
